We have a birthday at charmed city! It’s tomorrow, and instead of calling Carvel we’re challenging ourselves with two cakes. (In our defense, it’s a two-person birthday celebration.) After visiting Miette in San Francisco we were inspired to attempt a couple of their signature cakes- the Raspberry Tomboy picture above and a layered hot milk cake. We’re also making cocktails inspired by an SF speakeasy, so if the cakes taste like Alpo we can at least liquor up our guests and hope they’ll be nice about it.
